The power operator

I have received a letter from Mr De Kerf referring to my article in Vector 6.4 on defined operators. He points out that the ON operator is a version of the POWER operator, and includes a copy of his excellent article "A Note on the Power Operators (Loops are Harmful)" from the APL-CAM Journal Vol.11 No.1, 16 Jan 1989 pp 228-234. This provides a history of the operator with references, and a better coding of it using ⍎.

Also, the enclosed letter (addressed to you) appeared for some reason at Dyadic HQ recently. I pass it on without comment ....
