introduction by Adrian Smith

Thanks to Dick Bowman and Nick Small for two very well matched reviews of IBM’s APL2 for the PC and PS/2. Oddly enough, both reviewers seem to have arrived at very similar conclusions, although I can guarantee that neither has yet read the other’s review!

In the next VECTOR we will have side-by-side reviews of the AFM File System for APL2/PC and the Myriade file manager for APL*PLUS/PC. These products are briefly described on page 44.
