APL98 at Roma: Conference Reports

This was not just a marvellous gastronomic event in superb surroundings. It was a very good conference, well run and well attended. The mood was positive, there was genuine excitement at the new facilities in Dyalog 8.2 (the best kept APL secret of recent times), and — yes — it was the best banquet since APL88. The organisers were well and truly cheered at the closing plenary, and they deserved every bit of it.
